What's Happening?
American Uranium has increased its interim resource to 9.45 million pounds of radiometric equivalent triuranium octoxide at the Lo Herma Project in Wyoming. The project now boasts 5.93 million tonnes of total mineralization at an average grade of 720
parts per million. The ongoing drilling campaign, which has completed 66 out of 121 planned holes, has resulted in a 10% growth from the previous estimate. The company plans to conduct further drilling and hydrogeological work, with a Scoping Study scheduled for Q3 2026 to assess in-situ recovery development options.
Why It's Important?
The expansion of the Lo Herma resource is a significant development for American Uranium, as it enhances the project's scale and confidence. Located within Wyoming's established in-situ recovery district, the project is strategically positioned to benefit from the hub-and-spoke production model, which could unlock substantial value. The increase in uranium resources supports the U.S. energy sector's efforts to secure domestic uranium supply, reducing reliance on imports and enhancing energy security.
What's Next?
American Uranium plans to continue its drilling campaign and conduct a Scoping Study in Q3 2026 to explore in-situ recovery development options. The company aims to leverage regional processing infrastructure to optimize production. As the project progresses, it may attract interest from energy companies and investors seeking to capitalize on the growing demand for uranium, driven by the global shift towards clean energy and nuclear power.
