Sony Pictures Entertainment and Pop Mart have officially announced the development of a live-action movie based on Pop Mart's 'The Monsters' universe, titled 'Labubu'. The film will be directed by Paul King, known for his work on 'Wonka' and 'Paddington',
and co-written by Steven Levenson, a Tony Award-winning screenwriter. The project, which will combine live-action and CGI elements, was revealed during The Monsters global exhibition tour in Paris. Kasing Lung, the creator of 'The Monsters', will serve as an executive producer, with production oversight by Brittany Morrissey for Sony.
