Based on Elizabeth Engstrom's novella, the story follows a young woman who emerges from an underground cave after 15 years, determined to reclaim her family. The film, which recently completed filming in New Zealand, is slated for a U.S. release in 2027 by Bleecker Street. The project is backed by the New Zealand Film Commission and other financiers.
