Major League Baseball (MLB) is celebrating Armed Forces Day Weekend by honoring military service members, veterans, and their families. The league, through its MLB Together initiative, will host various
events and activities in ballparks to show appreciation for the military community. Players and on-field personnel will don service-inspired caps and camouflage socks, and special Armed Forces Day logos will be featured on base jewels and lineup cards. The weekend's activities are designed to strengthen the connection between MLB and the military community through charitable giving and partnership activations.

This celebration highlights MLB's dedication to supporting the military community. The league's commitment is further demonstrated by donating all licensed royalties from the sale of Armed Forces Day On-Field Authentic Collection apparel to MLB Charities. These funds will support organizations such as Blue Star Families, SkyHope, TAPS, Travis Manion Foundation, USO, and Wounded Warrior Project. By engaging in these activities, MLB not only honors military service but also provides essential support to military families, reinforcing its role as a socially responsible organization.

Looking ahead, MLB is encouraging participation in the American Corporate Partners (ACP) program, which offers virtual mentorship to veterans. This initiative aims to address underemployment by providing veterans with career guidance from experienced professionals. Additionally, youth from TAPS families will take part in a clinic during the MLB All-Star Week in Philadelphia, furthering MLB's commitment to supporting military families. These efforts are expected to have a lasting impact on the professional development of veterans and their families.
