Toho, the company behind the iconic Godzilla franchise, is planning a significant expansion of its Godzilla universe, dubbed 'Godzilla World.' This initiative aims to interconnect the Japanese Godzilla's universe in a manner similar to Hollywood's MonsterVerse,
which includes modern reboots of Godzilla and King Kong. Keiji Ota, Chief Godzilla Officer, revealed that Toho plans to invest over 15 billion yen (approximately $94 million) into the franchise over the next three years. The expansion will include new films, ride attractions, console games, and streaming series to attract younger audiences.
