What's Happening?
Orbital, a legal tech and prop tech company, has announced the launch of its own real estate law firm, Farringdon, in the UK. The firm will focus on residential transactions and aims to integrate AI into its operations to improve conveyancing processes.
According to Ed Boulle, co-founder of Orbital, the insights gained from Farringdon will be used to enhance the technology provided to Orbital's customers. The firm will employ a team of six experienced conveyancing lawyers and is set to begin operations in May. This move is part of Orbital's strategy to leverage AI and NewMod business structures to benefit both Farringdon and its clients.
Why It's Important?
The launch of Farringdon represents a significant step in the integration of AI into legal services, particularly in the real estate sector. By establishing its own law firm, Orbital aims to demonstrate the potential of AI to streamline legal processes and improve client experiences. This initiative highlights the growing trend of legal tech companies exploring new business models to enhance service delivery. The insights gained from Farringdon's operations will not only benefit Orbital's clients but also contribute to the broader adoption of AI in the legal industry. This development underscores the potential for technology to transform traditional legal practices and drive innovation.
