Several players from Michigan State University's women's basketball team have been recognized with All-Big Ten honors. Redshirt sophomore guard Kennedy Blair and senior forward Grace VanSlooten were named to the Second-Team All-Big Ten by both coaches
and media. Junior guard Rashunda Jones was included in the media's All-Defensive team, while senior guard Emma Shumate received the sportsmanship award. The team, ranked 18th, is preparing for the Big Ten Tournament after finishing the conference play with an 11-7 record. Blair, who overcame a foot injury in her freshman year, has become a key player, averaging 13.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 2.4 steals per game. VanSlooten, a former Oregon transfer, continues to excel in the frontcourt, averaging 15.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. Jones, a transfer from Purdue, contributes significantly on both ends, averaging 12.0 points, 3.5 assists, and 2.1 steals per game.
