Lisa Leslie, a trailblazer in women's basketball, will be honored with a statue outside Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The statue will be unveiled before the Los Angeles Sparks' game against the Portland
Fire on September 20. Leslie, who played her entire 12-season career with the Sparks, is celebrated for her numerous achievements, including two WNBA titles, three MVP awards, and being the first player to dunk in a WNBA game. Her No. 9 jersey was retired in 2010, and she was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015. The statue will join those of other sports legends in Star Plaza.
