What's Happening?
Mandy Moore and her family were among the first to experience LEGOLAND California Resort's newest attraction, the Galacticoaster. This thrilling ride is set to officially launch in early 2026 and marks the resort's first new coaster in over 20 years.
The Galacticoaster, part of a $90 million investment by Merlin Magic Making, features a 1,500-foot winding track and offers an immersive experience inspired by beloved LEGO sets. The ride is housed in a massive 30,000-square-foot building and was developed by a global team of 500 builders.
Why It's Important?
The introduction of the Galacticoaster represents a significant investment in LEGOLAND's attractions, aiming to enhance visitor experience and boost attendance. This development is part of a broader trend in the theme park industry, where innovation and immersive experiences are key to attracting families and tourists. The investment underscores the importance of continually updating and expanding park offerings to remain competitive. For LEGOLAND, the Galacticoaster could drive increased foot traffic and revenue, benefiting local economies and tourism sectors in California and Florida.
