Emma Rascoe and Braden Fingar have been recognized as the Section V Athletes of the Week for their exceptional performances in their respective sports. Emma Rascoe, a quarterback for Webster Schroeder's flag football team, received over 17,000 votes.
She threw 11 touchdown passes, completed 81 of 114 pass attempts for 708 yards, ran for four touchdowns, and pulled 15 flags, including three for sacks. Her efforts led the Warriors to three victories, including a 20-0 win over the previously undefeated Webster Thomas. Braden Fingar, a lacrosse player from Penn Yan, garnered over 6,000 votes. He scored 12 points, including seven goals, across two games and collected eight ground balls in a win against Section VI's Hamburg. The Athlete of the Week poll is conducted weekly during the spring season, with results announced on social media.
