What's Happening?
KP Group, in collaboration with PP Savani University, has launched a skilling program aimed at developing a workforce for the renewable energy sector. The initiative, known as the Urja Noor scholarship program, is designed to support underprivileged students
pursuing education in renewable energy fields. The program will provide free education to 92 students in its first batch, including 30 students from Botswana annually. This effort is part of KP Group's vision to create a skilled talent pipeline to drive the nation's clean energy transformation.
Why It's Important?
The launch of this skilling program underscores the growing importance of renewable energy and the need for a skilled workforce to support its expansion. As countries worldwide transition to cleaner energy sources, the demand for trained professionals in this sector is expected to rise significantly. By investing in education and training, KP Group is not only contributing to the development of the renewable energy industry but also providing opportunities for economically disadvantaged students. This initiative could serve as a model for other companies looking to support sustainable development and workforce readiness.
