What's Happening?
Solstad Maritime, a Norwegian offshore vessel owner, has announced a two-year extension of its contract with Petrobras for the subsea construction vessel (CSV) Normand Fortress. The extension, valued at approximately $56 million, will commence in early
July 2026. Under this contract, the vessel will provide accommodation services to support production activities on the Brazilian continental shelf. The Normand Fortress will operate under a bareboat contract from Solstad Maritime to Solstad Offshore, which holds the contract with Petrobras.
