Syensqo has introduced two new stabilisers, Cyasorb Cyxtra V9800 and V9100, designed to expand the use of translucent polypropylene (PP) in automotive interiors and exteriors. These stabilisers address the material's historical limitations related to UV
and thermal durability, which have restricted its application in demanding vehicle environments. The V9800 grade focuses on UV stabilisation for exterior parts like bumpers, while the V9100 grade targets thermal stabilisation for interior components. Both products aim to maintain mechanical properties and visual consistency throughout the service life of the parts. Chen Ning, Vice President of Polymer Additives at Syensqo, emphasized the importance of these innovations in meeting evolving automotive design needs, allowing manufacturers to achieve durability alongside distinctive design aesthetics.
