The United Airlines NYC Half marathon has set a new record with 30,229 finishers, marking the highest number of participants in the history of the New York Road Runners. The race, which began near the Brooklyn Museum and traversed through Prospect Park
and across the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan, saw notable performances. Kenya's Hellen Obiri, the defending TCS New York City Marathon champion, won the women's open division, setting a new event record of 1:06:33. Adriaan Wildschutt from South Africa claimed the men's open division title in his debut, while England's Eden Rainbow-Cooper and the U.S.'s Daniel Romanchuk won the women's and men's wheelchair divisions, respectively. The event also included nearly 2,000 children participating in the Times Square Kids Run.
