What's Happening?
The Fall River Public Library is set to host a free blues concert featuring Professor Harp and his band on May 14. The event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the library lawn. Professor Harp, whose real name is Hugh Holmes Jr., is a renowned
harmonica player and singer from Fall River, known for his performances in the greater Boston area since the 1970s. In 2025, he was inducted into the New England Music Hall of Fame. The concert is open to all ages, and no registration or library card is required to attend. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved indoors to the library's meeting room.
