TCL has introduced an upgraded version of its Nxtpaper technology at the Mobile World Congress 2026, featuring an AMOLED display that combines the softness of Nxtpaper with enhanced brightness. The new display offers 3,200 nits of brightness and a circular
polarization rate of 90%, closely resembling natural light. It also reduces blue light emission to as low as 2.9% and dynamically adjusts brightness and color temperature according to the body's circadian rhythms. While the technology is still under development, TCL's demonstration suggests significant improvements in display quality, although challenges remain in accurately rendering colors for photography.
