Mesabi Metallics, supported by Essar Group, has secured $150 million in financing from Macquarie Group to advance its Direct Reduction (DR) grade iron ore mine and pellet plant in Nashwauk, Minnesota. This funding complements a $520 million senior secured credit
facility from Breakwall Capital, indicating strong momentum for the project. The U.S. Export-Import Bank (EXIM) has also shown support, highlighting the strategic importance of the project to U.S. manufacturing, infrastructure, automotive, shipbuilding, and defense sectors.
