Independent music publisher Kobalt has entered into a global partnership with Madverse Music Group, an India-based company that supports the South Asian independent music sector. This collaboration aims
to provide Madverse's community of independent songwriters, composers, and producers with access to Kobalt's extensive publishing administration network. The services offered include royalty collection in over 180 markets, improved metadata tracking, and expanded synchronization licensing opportunities. Madverse currently serves more than 150,000 artists and labels across India and South Asia. The partnership addresses a historical gap in international royalty collection, which has often left South Asian creators unable to capture overseas earnings. Madverse CEO Rohan Nesho Jain emphasized the importance of this partnership in empowering India's independent music community by ensuring that artists can access and protect their earnings globally.
