What's Happening?
Carestream Healthcare International has announced the launch of its new Lux HD 35 and Lux HD 43 X-ray detectors. These detectors are designed with a 100um pixel pitch, providing higher resolution and improved image details, which allow for better visibility
of small objects and microstructures. The detectors are lightweight and ergonomically designed, making them easier to handle and position, thus enhancing the comfort of patients during exams. They also feature improved ruggedness and an IP rating, along with new technology for wireless mode dose control, which extends the AEC feature for mobile applications. The Lux HD detectors are compatible with various Carestream systems and are integrated with the ImageView Software platform powered by Eclipse with AI. A Lux HD 2530 model is expected to be launched in the second half of 2026.
