What's Happening?
Flynn Gold has expanded its phase two drilling program at the Firetower Gold-Tungsten Project in northern Tasmania from three to ten holes, totaling 1,600 meters. The expanded program aims to test for down-dip extensions to high-grade polymetallic gold-tungsten-cobalt
mineralization and collect samples for planned metallurgical testwork. The results will support the delivery of a maiden mineral resource estimate for the project. The drilling is currently underway, with the company targeting extensions approximately 75 meters below previous high-grade intercepts. Flynn Gold recently completed diamond drilling at its Henty Silver-Lead-Zinc Project, with final assay results pending.
Why It's Important?
The expansion of the drilling program at the Firetower Project signifies Flynn Gold's commitment to advancing its exploration efforts and potentially increasing its resource base. Successful identification of high-grade mineralization could enhance the project's economic viability and attract further investment. The results from this program will be crucial for the company's strategic planning and could lead to the development of a significant mining operation in Tasmania. This expansion also reflects the company's proactive approach to resource exploration and its potential to contribute to the local economy through job creation and infrastructure development.
What's Next?
Flynn Gold will continue its drilling activities at the Firetower Project, with a focus on completing the expanded program and analyzing the results. The company aims to deliver a maiden mineral resource estimate, which will be a key milestone in the project's development. Further exploration and metallurgical testwork will be conducted to assess the project's full potential. The company will also monitor the results from its Henty Project, which could influence future exploration strategies and investment decisions.
