A report by AI detection company Copyleaks identified sponsored videos on TikTok featuring AI-generated likenesses of Swift and other celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Rihanna. These videos promote potentially fraudulent services, using realistic-sounding voices and textured filters to mask AI flaws. The ads mislead users into providing personal information under the guise of participating in rewards programs.
