What's Happening?
Glamox, a prominent global lighting company, has been awarded a contract to provide lighting solutions for four Offshore Energy Support Vessels (OESVs) being constructed for Sea1 Offshore. These vessels are designed to support various offshore energy
infrastructures, including wind farms, oil and gas platforms, and subsea installations. Glamox will supply a total of 8,000 marine LED lights, with each vessel receiving approximately 2,000 lights. The lighting includes rugged exterior options like watertight explosion-proof luminaires and floodlights, as well as interior lighting for workshops, crew areas, and quarters. The first vessel's lighting will be delivered to COSCO Shipping (Qidong) Offshore in April, with subsequent deliveries every three months. The vessels, based on the ST-245 design, are scheduled for delivery between 2027 and the first half of 2028.
