A recent survey conducted by GSTV, a national at-the-pump video network, reveals that convenience stores remain a crucial shopping destination for consumers despite rising food costs. The survey, which gathered data from GSTV viewers in October 2025 and
February 2026, indicates that 81% of consumers are concerned about increasing food prices due to tariffs. In response, 58% of consumers are seeking promotions, and 52% are turning to discount stores. Despite these economic pressures, 92% of GSTV viewers enjoy browsing in convenience stores, with 46% making purchases and 33% regularly shopping for game-day snacks and beverages. The survey highlights that convenience, impulse buying, and brand familiarity are significant factors driving consumer behavior in these stores.
