Downtown Montpelier is gearing up for MudFest, a two-day event celebrating Vermont's mud season. Scheduled for April 25-26, the festival will feature live music, food, and various outdoor activities. The Muddy Onion Gravel Grinder, organized by Onion River
Outdoors, is a highlight, expecting over 700 riders who can choose from three routes: 20, 40, or 60 miles. Additionally, the Gear Makers Festival will showcase Vermont-made outdoor gear, goods, and apparel, allowing attendees to meet the makers and shop locally. Barr Hill will host the Muddy Onion After Party, offering music, grilling, and cocktails. The event will conclude with the Mucker Mud Run, hosted by Green Mountain Community Fitness, offering options like a relaxed 5K hike, a weighted ruck, or a fast-paced run. Young adventurers can participate in the Mini Mucker course on the Statehouse lawn.
