Why It's Important?
Roquette's recognition by EcoVadis and its performance in the CDP assessment underscore the company's commitment to sustainability, which is increasingly critical in the global business landscape. By achieving high scores in these evaluations, Roquette not only enhances its reputation but also sets a benchmark for other companies in the industry. The focus on reducing emissions and integrating eco-design into products aligns with global efforts to combat climate change and promote environmental stewardship. This commitment can lead to long-term benefits, including operational efficiencies, improved stakeholder relations, and a stronger market position as consumers and investors increasingly prioritize sustainability.
What's Next?
Roquette plans to build on its current momentum by continuing to decarbonize its operations and integrate eco-design into its product offerings. The company aims to achieve its ambitious sustainability goals by 2030, as outlined in its life+nature program. This includes further reducing direct and indirect emissions and maintaining a focus on ethics, people, and communities. Roquette's ongoing efforts will likely influence industry standards and encourage other companies to adopt similar sustainability practices, potentially leading to broader environmental benefits.
