Aaron Green, a former Tennessee basketball player, has announced his retirement from coaching. Green served as the head coach at Oak Ridge High School in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, for 16 seasons. During his tenure, he led the Wildcats to the TSSAA Class AAA
state championship game in 2014 and the TSSAA Class 4A state championship game in 2025. Under his leadership, Oak Ridge reached the state championship game for the first time since 1963, achieving two runner-up finishes. Green's coaching career also includes a successful stint at Cleveland High School, where he won 166 games. Additionally, he was an assistant coach at Tennessee under head coach Bruce Pearl from 2007 to 2010. As a player, Green appeared in 100 games for the Vols from 1995 to 1999, averaging 5.4 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.
