Courtney Lindwall from Consumer Reports suggests practical steps to reduce screen time, such as taking short breaks, keeping phones in another room, and limiting time-wasting apps. The report also recommends muting notifications, setting phones to grayscale, and engaging in non-screen activities like reading or exercising. Tools like the Brick device, which blocks apps unless physically unlocked, are also suggested to help manage screen time.
