What's Happening?
CGN Resources has successfully completed a high-resolution, low-level airborne magnetic and radiometric survey at the Christmas Well Project located in the Leonora district of Western Australia. The survey covered 3,529 kilometers with 50-meter line spacing,
aimed at understanding the lithological and structural architecture of the area for more precise targeting. The results of the survey have highlighted numerous litho-structural targets, enhancing the mapping of a favorable litho-structural corridor known to host gold mineralization. This development is part of CGN's strategy to unlock mineral potential in Western Australia through its diverse portfolio of assets. The company plans to conduct reverse circulation drilling over 4,000 meters at various prospects within the project, including Ox Tongue and Black Pudding, among others. A heritage survey is also planned for these targets.
Why It's Important?
The completion of this survey is significant as it not only confirms previously identified target areas but also reveals the potential of several new conceptual greenfield targets. This could lead to increased exploration activities and potentially significant gold discoveries, which would be beneficial for CGN Resources and the broader mining industry in Western Australia. The identification of new targets could attract further investment and development in the region, contributing to economic growth and job creation. Additionally, the advancement of this project aligns with global efforts to secure mineral resources, which are crucial for various industries, including technology and manufacturing.
What's Next?
CGN Resources plans to proceed with reverse circulation drilling at the identified prospects, which will provide more detailed information about the mineralization and help in assessing the economic viability of the project. The company will also conduct a heritage survey to ensure that exploration activities are conducted responsibly and in compliance with local regulations. The results of these activities will likely influence future exploration strategies and investment decisions. Stakeholders, including investors and local communities, will be closely monitoring the outcomes of these next steps.
