What's Happening?
Five athletes from the area achieved championship gold at the WIAA state track and field meet held at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. Notable winners include Ellie Davel from St. Mary Catholic, who won the Division 3 girls 100-meter hurdles, and Grant
Wenzelow from Winneconne, who secured first place in the Division 2 boys 800-meter run. Other champions include Emma Severson from Neenah in the Division 1 girls discus, Caroline Basehoar from Xavier in the Division 2 girls pole vault, and Hudson Samolinski from Winneconne in the Division 2 boys shot put. The Winneconne boys' team also celebrated a team title, highlighting a successful meet for local athletes.
