What's Happening?
The annual Jazz Combos Concert at Harvard-Westlake School showcased the talents of student musicians on February 20 and 21. Under the guidance of Performing Arts Teacher Chris Sullivan, students selected and rehearsed a diverse repertoire, emphasizing
different jazz styles and solo performances. The preparation began in mid-January, with students playing a significant role in arranging the music, including decisions on style, tempo, and solos. The concert aimed to foster confidence, communication, and improvisation skills among the students. Participants expressed satisfaction with their performances, highlighting the hard work and creativity involved in personalizing each piece.
