Riyadh Air, a new state-owned airline under the leadership of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has announced plans to launch daily Boeing 787-9 flights between Riyadh and Cairo. This marks Cairo as the third destination in the airline's network,
following London Heathrow and Dubai. The move is part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, aiming to enhance global connectivity and economic growth. The airline's CEO, Tony Douglas, emphasized the strategic importance of this route in aligning with the country's broader ambitions. Currently, the Riyadh-Cairo market is served by eight airlines, with Saudia holding the largest capacity share.
