Ashutosh Gowariker, renowned for directing the Oscar-nominated film 'Lagaan', has been appointed as the festival director for the 57th International Film Festival of India (IFFI). This appointment was made by India's Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
Gowariker takes over from Shekhar Kapur, who served as the festival director for the previous two editions.
