Four central Ohio girls basketball teams have advanced in the OHSAA regional semifinals, moving closer to securing a spot in the state tournament. New Albany and Pickerington Central emerged victorious in the Division I, Region 3 semifinals held at Taft
Coliseum. Africentric secured a win in the Division V, Region 18 final against Delta, while Harvest Prep triumphed over Waterford in Division VI, Region 23. New Albany defeated Marysville with a score of 44-34, setting up a match against defending state champion Pickerington Central. Pickerington Central, led by senior guard London Johnson, defeated Dublin Coffman 64-35. Harvest Prep relied on a strong defensive performance to overcome Waterford, with Israelle Smith leading the scoring. The teams are now one win away from the state tournament, with upcoming matches scheduled for March 6.
