Reservoir Farms has inaugurated a new agtech incubator in Salinas, California, designed to support startups in developing solutions for global food production challenges. The facility offers office space, workshops, and 24 acres of commercial test fields.
This initiative is a collaboration with regional agriculture industry leaders, including the Western Growers Association, and features a cohort of 12 startups. These startups are working on technologies such as autonomous weeding, precision irrigation, and autonomous pest control. The incubator aims to provide a 'living lab' environment where startups can test and validate their innovations in real-world settings, thereby reducing research and development risks and accelerating market entry.
