Kellogg Community College (KCC) is set to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States with its annual 'Singing in the Spring' concert. The event, titled 'I, Too, Sing America,' will take place on April 12 at the First Presbyterian Church in Battle
Creek. This concert not only marks the nation's semiquincentennial but also celebrates the 69th year of the KCC choral program and the 20th year of the concert being held at this venue. The performance will feature a diverse array of music, including a Native American chant, works by America's first composer William Billings, early American hymns, spirituals, and selections from the Shaker tradition. Additionally, Americana classics such as 'The Star-Spangled Banner,' 'America the Beautiful,' and 'Michigan Morn' will be performed.
