Interlochen Public Radio (IPR) has announced the appointment of Tyler Castellanos as the new host and librarian for their classical music programs. Castellanos, a classically trained musician with a Doctor of Musical Arts in trumpet performance from Texas
Tech University, will manage the music library and host 'Music by Request' and 'Music at Midday.' Since relocating to northern Michigan in 2024, he has been actively involved in the local music scene, performing with ensembles, teaching private lessons, and working as an ensemble manager at the Interlochen Center for the Arts and Traverse City Area Public Schools. His first episode as host of 'Music by Request' is scheduled to air on May 30, with an encore on May 31.
