Kering has announced the second edition of its Generation Award x Jewelry, a design competition focused on sustainability in the jewelry industry. The initiative, launched in partnership with the World Jewelry Confederation and Poli.design, aims to encourage startups and students from ten global universities to innovate in reducing the environmental impact of jewelry production. Participants are invited to submit projects that utilize innovative materials, packaging advancements, and retail technologies, including artificial intelligence. The competition continues the theme 'Second Chance, First Choice,' encouraging the reimagining of waste as a resource. Finalists will present their projects during Paris Couture Week in July, with winners receiving
mentorship and internship opportunities with Kering's jewelers.
