What's Happening?
Scania has broadened its Services 360 aftersales portfolio to include dedicated packages for battery electric trucks and used combustion engine vehicles. This expansion reflects the growing demand in these segments and builds on an offering first introduced
in 2024. The Services 360 portfolio now offers four service tiers for used vehicles: Core, Plus, Full, and Pro, ranging from basic maintenance to comprehensive repairs. For battery electric trucks, the Full package is standard, covering all repairs and system interactions. Lars Gustafsson, Senior Vice President and Head of Trucks at Scania, emphasized the company's commitment to maximizing vehicle use for their customers.
Why It's Important?
The expansion of Scania's Services 360 is significant as it addresses the increasing demand for comprehensive service solutions in the evolving automotive industry. By offering tailored packages for both electric and used vehicles, Scania is positioning itself as a leader in the transition towards sustainable transportation. This move supports transport operators across various powertrain types, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing downtime. The focus on battery electric trucks aligns with global trends towards electrification and sustainability in the commercial vehicle sector.
What's Next?
Scania's expanded Services 360 is expected to attract more transport operators seeking reliable and comprehensive service solutions. As the demand for electric vehicles continues to rise, Scania's focus on providing robust support for these vehicles will likely strengthen its market position. The company may continue to innovate and expand its service offerings to meet the evolving needs of the transportation industry.
