What's Happening?
Rigby High School athletes showcased outstanding performances at the Highland Golden Baton Relays and Invitational meet held in Pocatello. The Rigby boys' team scored 127 points, surpassing Highland's 78.5, while the Rigby girls' team accumulated 158
points, outpacing Highland's 83. Notable achievements included Owen Golding's victory in the 100-meter race, beating the defending 5A state champion Zyan Crockett. Rigby's Jonas Porter won the 1,600-meter race, and Brayden Maughan secured a win in the discus throw. The Rigby team also excelled in relay events, winning the 4x100 and 4x800 relays. On the girls' side, Abigail Sondag of Thunder Ridge won the 100-meter race with a personal-best time, and Ashlynn Richardson claimed victory in the 400-meter race. The event highlighted the depth and talent of Rigby's track and field athletes.
