Persimmon Pictures has acquired Katy Chevigny's narrative feature debut, 'The Easy Kind,' which stars country singer Elizabeth Cook as a fictionalized version of herself. The film will have an Oscar-qualifying theatrical run at the IFC Center starting

The film, which premiered at the Telluride Film Festival, was acquired in a deal negotiated by Mackenzie Maguire for the distributor and Ryan Kampe for Visit Films.
