What's Happening?
Cathay, in partnership with Rugby For Good, launched the 'Cathay GET SET MOVE Carnival' to promote physical and mental wellbeing among students through rugby. The event featured a tournament, coaching sessions, and interactive games, and introduced the Cathay GET SET MOVE Mobile
Unit, designed to expand the program's reach. The initiative aims to engage over 10,000 students, promoting the '4 Rs' of Rest, Relaxation, Resilience, and Relationships. The program is part of Cathay's broader goal to positively impact 80,000 lives, leveraging rugby to foster healthy lifestyles and teamwork among young participants.
Why It's Important?
This initiative highlights the role of sports in promoting holistic wellbeing among youth, addressing both physical and mental health. By integrating rugby into educational settings, the program encourages students to develop resilience and teamwork skills, which are crucial for personal development. The involvement of Cathay and Rugby For Good underscores the potential for corporate and non-profit partnerships to drive social impact. The program's focus on mental fitness is particularly relevant in today's context, where mental health awareness is increasingly recognized as vital for overall wellbeing.
