The Palo Alto Teen Arts Council organized a Valentine's Masquerade Ball at the Palo Alto Community Center to celebrate Valentine's Day. This event marked the first official teen dance of the year, featuring live music, refreshments, and creative activities. The venue was adorned with heart balloons and pink and red ribbons, creating a festive atmosphere. Attendees enjoyed pizza, candy, chips, warm apple cider, and hot chocolate. The event also included mask-decorating stations, a bingo game, and a raffle with prizes from Trader Joe's. Avni Lochan, a council member and junior at Gunn High School, emphasized the event's goal of fostering community and providing a safe space for teens to relax and enjoy themselves.
