What's Happening?
Guided Therapeutics, Inc. has announced a new supply agreement with Yuanshuo Medical Instruments Corporation (YMIC) in China. Under this agreement, YMIC will purchase $200,000 worth of LuViva Advanced
Cervical Scan devices and components. This deal expands Guided Therapeutics' reach in Jiangsu province, where the LuViva device is expected to improve cervical cancer detection for millions of women. The agreement complements an existing partnership with Hangzhou Dongye Medical Technology Company, which provides gynecology products to hospitals performing cervical cancer screenings.
Why It's Important?
This agreement marks a significant step for Guided Therapeutics in expanding its market presence in China, a country with a large population and high demand for advanced medical technologies. The LuViva device offers a non-invasive method for early cervical cancer detection, potentially improving outcomes for women in Jiangsu province. By partnering with YMIC, Guided Therapeutics can leverage local expertise and distribution networks to enhance access to its innovative technology. This expansion may also contribute to the company's growth and influence in the global medical device industry.
