What's Happening?
The Kalamazoo Astronomical Society is set to commence its five-part lecture series aimed at individuals new to amateur astronomy. The series will begin on January 17th and will be conducted online via
Zoom. This educational initiative is free of charge, although participants are required to register through the society's website. The series covers a range of topics, including 'Our Place Among the Infinities,' 'Discovering the Night Sky,' 'Binocular Basics,' 'Telescope Tutorial,' and 'The Art of Astrophotography.' Participants who attend all five sessions will receive a Certificate of Completion. Since 2021, approximately 2,900 individuals worldwide have registered for previous series, with 573 completing all sessions.
