Royal Enfield, the world's oldest motorcycle manufacturer in continuous production, has launched its first electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6. This marks a significant shift from its century-long reliance on internal combustion engines. The launch took
place in Bengaluru, India, and introduces a new electric sub-brand that combines the company's heritage with modern engineering and connectivity. The Flying Flea C6 features a 15.4 kW motor, a 3.91 kWh lithium-ion battery, and a top speed of 115 km/h. The motorcycle is designed for urban mobility, with a projected real-world range of 100 km per charge. Royal Enfield is adopting a phased rollout strategy, starting with a flagship store in Bengaluru, and offers a Battery-as-a-Service model to reduce upfront costs.
