DSM-Firmenich has completed a $10 million upgrade of its premix manufacturing facility located in Schenectady, New York. This enhancement aims to bolster production capabilities for the food, dietary supplement, and infant nutrition sectors across the Americas.
The project involved a comprehensive redesign of the production environment and the installation of new processing equipment. The facility now features revised GMP zoning, redesigned material flow systems, expanded powder conditioning and handling technologies, and a centralized dispensing area connected to 35 blending units.
