Harmonic Inc. is set to sell its video division to MediaKind for $145 million, a move aimed at transforming the company into a pure-play broadband technology leader. The sale, expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, will allow Harmonic to concentrate on its broadband business, which includes virtualization software and hardware for hybrid fiber/coax (HFC) and fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) networks. Harmonic's broadband unit, led by its cOS platform, is expanding with new customers and projects, including a significant deployment with Mexico's izzi and a DOCSIS 4.0 field validation with Vodafone Germany.
