Outbound Hotels has announced the opening of Outbound Sedona, a reimagined desert retreat located near Uptown Sedona, Arizona. The resort, formerly known as Poco Diablo Resort, features 138 rooms and is
designed with modern Pueblo-inspired architecture. It offers a range of accommodations, including king rooms and the Serenity Suite, with amenities such as patios and fireplaces. The resort includes the brand's first spa, set to open on May 15, 2026, and features a two-tiered pool retreat called Moonwater. The resort aims to blend wellness and adventure, offering facilities like tennis courts and a Gear Garage for trail-ready essentials.
Why It's Important?
The opening of Outbound Sedona highlights a growing trend in the hospitality industry towards experiential and wellness-focused travel. This development is significant as it caters to the increasing demand for travel experiences that offer more than just accommodation. By integrating wellness amenities and adventure activities, the resort is positioned to attract a diverse range of guests seeking relaxation and exploration. This approach could influence other hospitality providers to enhance their offerings, potentially reshaping the competitive landscape in the industry. The focus on local culture and natural surroundings also supports sustainable tourism practices, which are becoming increasingly important to travelers.
What's Next?
Outbound Sedona is set to host a Rhythm & Rally Weekend from June 5-7, featuring live music and tennis and pickleball clinics. The resort will also hold an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 14, 2026. As part of its expansion strategy, Outbound Hotels plans to open additional properties in locations such as Yosemite, CA, and Park City, UT. The success of Outbound Sedona could influence future developments and partnerships within the hospitality sector, as the brand continues to expand its portfolio with a focus on wellness and adventure.
