The global comeback tour of K-pop group BTS is significantly boosting concert tourism, with a notable increase in travel and hotel bookings. The tour, spanning 34 cities across Asia, North and South America, Australia, Europe, and the UK, is set to run from April 2026 to March 2027. According to Trip.com, this trend is expected to be a major driver for the travel industry this year. Following the tour announcement, travel searches for South Korean cities Seoul and Busan surged by 155% and 2,375%, respectively. In Kaohsiung, Taiwan, searches increased by 6,700% year-on-year. Despite expanding their ticket inventory, BTS's tour sold out in 20 minutes, with resale prices reaching up to 40 times the original value. The high demand has also led to increased hotel prices and full
bookings near major transit hubs in South Korea.
