Rapper Lil Poppa, legally known as Janarious Mykel Wheeler, was found dead in Atlanta, Georgia, at the age of 25. The Fulton County Medical Examiner confirmed his death, which occurred shortly after 11 a.m. The cause of death is currently under investigation. Lil Poppa was a resident of Jacksonville, Florida, and was signed to Yo Gotti’s Collective Music Group. He gained recognition for his 'Under Investigation' mixtape series and his debut album 'Blessed, I Guess.' His last album, 'Almost Normal Again,' was released in August 2025. Just days before his death, he released a new single titled 'Out of Town Bae.'
